Take part in an iconic cycling challenge this year!

Bridge the gap between the bustling Clapham Common and Brighton’s vibrant seafront while enjoying the 55 miles of picturesque countryside landscape that lie between the two – all on two wheels, whilst raising funds for AtaLoss!

This South Downs excursion is suited for solo beginners and intrepid enthusiast groups alike, with a fully signposted route, four water stops along the way, lunch provided and bike mechanics on standby. You will have access to training advice and fundraising tips in the lead up to the event to help you get the most out of your cycle. Organisers Skyline Events also provide a return coach service back to Clapham on the day for those needing it.

Free AtaLoss Cycling Jersey

The minimum fundraising target is £150. However many riders choose to go further - and if you raise £300 or more in sponsorship, you’ll receive a FREE AtaLoss cycling jersey to wear on the day and keep forever.

Your jersey can also be personalised with the name of someone you are riding in memory of, making your challenge even more meaningful. Once you reach the £300 fundraising milestone, we’ll be in touch with full details on how to personalise your jersey.

For organisations running The Bereavement Journey® it is possible to cycle in aid of your organisation as well as for AtaLoss, splitting proceeds 50:50*.

AtaLoss riders pay only half of the usual £55 registration fee, in thanks for raising money for our cause.

Does this sound like something you, or somebody you know, would like to take on? If so, register now.

How your fundraising can help AtaLoss

Jenica’s Story

Jenica completed the London to Brighton Cycle Ride in 2025. Not only did she conquer the scenic countryside route, but she raised funds for AtaLoss: a charity close to her heart. We are so thankful for her strong, inspirational support.

What made you sign up for this 55 mile ride?

“I take part in triathlons from time to time and enjoy the physical challenge, so cycling is something I’m familiar with. Living in London, it's nice for me to take on something on a Sunday that takes me out of the busy city and down to the coast. Whilst pedalling for the views!”

Why did you choose to ride for AtaLoss?

“I first knew about AtaLoss’ work through my experience in attending their The Bereavement Journey® programme in 2024.

A few months beforehand, I lost my sister. Her death profoundly affected me in ways I hadn't anticipated. It was a loss that truly knocked me sideways.

In the midst of that unexpected grief, I found solace and guidance through the course, which AtaLoss so brilliantly facilitates. That course was a steady hand, helping me to navigate emotions and challenges I simply wasn't prepared for.

My ride to Brighton was my way of saying thank you. It was about ensuring that other people, when faced with overwhelming grief, can access the same vital support that I did. The charity provides a crucial service, helping individuals to process, connect, and ultimately, find a path forward.”

How did you find the ride? Any tips for people thinking about doing it?

“The atmosphere on the day is impeccable; what’s nice is that everyone does it at their own pace as this isn’t a race. I saw lone riders as much as I saw big groups all in matching outfits taking on the cycle. What’s great is anybody can do the ride in any way they wish. Everybody was in great spirits – a real motivator.

I actually had some bike troubles just before setting off, but there were mechanics on-hand to help me which was a huge bonus – not to mention the coffee and snacks given out at the 4 rest stops along the route.

If you’re thinking about signing up... that’s enough proof that you can do it!

You’ll finish the ride on that iconic beach tired, but wired with pride.”

*PLEASE NOTE: The following form is only required by those who have registered for the event and will be fundraising for both AtaLoss and another organisation.
