AtaLoss CEO Yvonne Tulloch Named CEO Monthly’s Most Influential CEO 2026 in recognition of her leadership in Bereavement Support

A parliamentary event hosted by the APPG on Grief Support and the Impact of Death on Society held today in National Grief Awareness Week highlighted the lack of access to bereavement support and called for for central signposting via AtaLoss.org.

AtaLoss is launching its new Case for Support: Transforming Bereavement Support, Transforming Lives (Autumn 2025) tonight at Lambeth Palace. The event marks the beginning of a national appeal to ensure that everyone in the UK can find timely, compassionate help when facing loss.

An independent evaluation has revealed that a UK-wide bereavement support programme, delivered by churches for their communities, has generated wellbeing benefits valued at more than £33.5 million over two years – with significant potential for national public health adoption.

The Government has supported a proposed amendment to the Employment Bill that would give parents the legal right to take at least one week of bereavement leave following a miscarriage at any stage of pregnancy.

As the Law Commission considers proposals to legalise new funeral methods in the UK—including water cremation and human composting—AtaLoss is calling for a balanced approach that prioritises the emotional needs of grieving families.
